The best surprise about Poet's Cottage is its delightful leafy garden hidden at the back. With a profusion of lavender, roses and daisies, it has wonderfully deep shade from two ancient olive trees and a healthy fig tree in one corner, plus a rambling vine which is now skirting all around the garden. Surrounded with attractive stone walls, it is delightfully private, with a functioning well, carefully covered for child safety. Upstairs, reached by an outdoor staircase, or from inside the house, is a huge dining terrace ideal for those warm summer nights. With views for miles towards the Grazalema mountains and up towards Ronda twinkling in the distance this is one romantic spot.
